About the Role

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's growing team in Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about accuracy and efficiency.

$60,000-$70,000

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate).
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
